This Sunday (January 22), churches around the country will be celebrating Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Coinciding with the anniversary of the January 22, 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, SOHL Sunday is an opportunity for us to celebrate God’s gift of life, while recommitting ourselves to protect human life at every stage.

How to defend your pro-life views in 2 minutes or less, Scott Klusendorf. In today’s society, many people won’t be convinced if you argue that the unborn are made in the “image of God,” because they don’t care what the Bible says. So is it possible to defend a pro-life position without using Scripture? Klusendorf gives an overview of the “SLED method” that will equip you to do exactly that.
The Image of God, The Bible Project. The term “image of God” is thrown about quite a bit in the conversation about the unborn. But what exactly does it mean to say that humans are made in the “image of God?” This overview covers a lot more than the defense of the unborn, but it provides a beautiful and creative depiction of the biblical idea. And it connects the “image of God” to the bigger picture, showing how the entire Bible is one unified narrative that leads to Jesus.
